The Calibration Laboratory Compliance Lead is responsible for maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation and ensuring the laboratory consistently delivers accurate, reliable, and audit-compliant metering outcomes. It supports engineering and operational objectives by overseeing laboratory systems, testing, and calibration activities, while driving continuous improvement and ensuring ongoing compliance with IANZ requirements.
Maintain ISO 17025 accreditation, including preparation for IANZ assessments and ensuring ongoing compliance
Manage audit findings and corrective actions through to resolution, while driving continuous improvement
Perform refurbishment, calibration, and testing of metering devices, ensuring results are accurate, traceable, and audit-compliant
Maintain laboratory equipment to IANZ standards and improve testing processes and protocols as required
Diagnose faults in metering assets, document findings, and partner with Engineering to assess new metering technologies
Participate in proficiency testing programmes to demonstrate laboratory competency
Support Key Technical Personnel (KTP) coverage and capability
Formal qualification in Engineering (or equivalent practical experience) with an Electrical qualification
Experience working in a calibration laboratory or similar technical environment, including hands-on calibration testing of electrical devices and the application of quality standards
Strong verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to explain technical issues clearly.
Practical knowledge and/or training in Measurement Uncertainty
Display strong understanding of EIPC (Meter Test Houses), ISO 17025 requirements for Calibration Laboratories, and electrical safety standards & testing practices
Ability to build strong internal and external relationships, contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment
Experience applying ISO 17025 requirements, including developing and maintaining laboratory management systems; experience as an IANZ Authorised Representative is an advantage
This role is based in our Penrose office with a requirement to work on-site five days per week.
