The Role

Are you passionate about creating workplaces where people feel safe, supported and empowered to do their best work?

We're looking for a Workplace Safety Manager to champion workplace health and safety across AP+. This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact by fostering a strong safety culture, influencing leaders, improving processes, and helping shape an exceptional workplace experience for our people.

You'll be our trusted WHS expert, working across the business to ensure compliance, manage risk, support contractors and suppliers, and oversee the workplace processes that keep our Sydney office operating smoothly.

Best of all? This is a 2 days per week (Tuesday & Thursday) on-site in our Sydney CBD office, perfect for an experienced Workplace Safety Manger seeking flexibility without compromising on impact.

This role is responsible for

Leading and promoting a proactive, positive workplace safety culture.

Driving WHS compliance, audits, risk assessments and emergency preparedness activities.

Providing trusted advice and guidance to leaders and employees on workplace safety matters.

Overseeing workplace and facilities-related processes to ensure a safe, compliant and efficient environment.

Managing contractor, supplier and vendor relationships to support workplace safety outcomes.

Maintaining workplace policies, procedures, security and access controls.

Supporting workplace experience initiatives, wellbeing programs and employee engagement activities.

Monitoring workplace risks and implementing practical improvements and controls.

Using data, reporting and insights to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

Building strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation to influence positive change.

Contractors and suppliers consistently meet AP+'s safety and operational standards.

You create positive change while maintaining a practical, people-first approach.

What You'll Bring

Experience in a Workplace Health & Safety role.

Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance and risk management practices.

The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Experience managing contractors, suppliers and workplace service providers.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.

A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for making things better.

Confidence using data and reporting to support decision-making.

A practical, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

A genuine passion for creating safe, engaging and high-performing workplaces.
