Procurement Functional Assistant Manager

Role Overview

The Procurement Functional Assistant Manager supports the design and implementation of Source-to-Pay (S2P) solutions, with a focus on system integrations between procurement platforms and ERP environments. This role contributes to integration design, API enablement, and deployment activities while ensuring alignment with business processes and data requirements.

The position requires hands-on experience in integration delivery, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to support end-to-end implementation activities within procurement transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Functional & Integration Design

Support the design of integration solutions connecting procurement platforms with ERP systems, including areas such as catalogs, invoicing, and end-to-end S2P processes.

Assist in defining integration approaches, including data flows, system interactions, and functional requirements.

Participate in workshops for requirements gathering, data mapping, and solution validation.

Translate business requirements into functional integration specifications.

Integration Development & Deployment

Support the development and configuration of integration solutions, working closely with technical teams.

Assist in API enablement and file-based integration processes to ensure seamless system communication.

Participate in deployment activities, ensuring integrations are properly configured and tested.

Support validation of integration outputs to ensure data accuracy and process alignment.

Project Delivery & Collaboration

Contribute to integration workstreams within S2P implementation projects.

Coordinate with functional, technical, and business teams to ensure alignment across deliverables.

Assist in identifying and resolving integration-related issues during implementation and testing phases.

Support documentation of integration designs, configurations, and processes.

Continuous Improvement & Capability Building

Stay informed on procurement technologies, integration practices, and industry trends.

Contribute to internal documentation, best practices, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Support mentoring and collaboration within the team to enhance delivery capabilities.

Qualifications

Required

At least 3 years of experience in integration development and implementation, preferably within procurement or S2P environments.

Strong understanding of procurement processes and S2P data structures.

Experience working with APIs and file-based integrations (e.g., CSV or similar formats).

Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.

Experience supporting integration design activities, including data mapping and system architecture discussions.

Familiarity with integrating ERP systems with procurement platforms.

Ability to work in cross-functional project environments with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred

Experience with cloud-based procurement or integration platforms.

Exposure to middleware tools or integration frameworks.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
