Key Responsibilities

Provide specialist palliative care to patients with complex clinical and psychosocial needs
Manage and coordinate a defined patient caseload, ensuring high-quality, individualized care
Offer expert advice on pain and symptom control, including physical, emotional, and spiritual support
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Support patients and families in discussing and planning end-of-life care preferences
Deliver education, mentoring, and training to healthcare staff to enhance palliative care practices
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development
Act as a key link between hospital services and community-based care providers
Requirements & Qualifications
Registered Nurse qualification with valid professional registration
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or equivalent)
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty (or willingness to complete)
Significant post-registration clinical experience
Proven experience in supportive and palliative care
Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
Experience in teaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
Ability to manage complex patient needs and challenging clinical situations
Experience in audit, research, or quality improvement is an advantage
Prescribing qualification (desirable but not essential)
