As a Payroll Officer at Fair Trade Outsourcing, you will play a crucial role in the Finance Department within the Payroll Division. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll activities. The Payroll Officer is expected to stay abreast of industry standards, compliance regulations, and market trends to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll processes.
Address and resolve payroll-related disputes and discrepancies promptly, ensuring accurate and fair resolution.
Update and maintain employee records for changes such as promotions, transfers, and terminations in the payroll system.
Process payments according to company policies, ensuring correct calculation and timely payment.
Execute payroll runs, ensuring all employee compensation is accurately calculated and processed.
Process final pay for resigned employees, ensuring accurate computation of all final payments and deductions.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of statutory reports
Perform regular reconciliation of payroll-related accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Oversee the preparation and submission of BIR Form 1601C, Alphalist of Employees, BIR Form 2316, and other tax-related documentation.
Process employee benefits related to sickness and maternity leave, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
Participate in payroll audits and reviews, providing necessary documentation and addressing any issues.
Support enhancements to payroll systems and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Any additional duties or projects that may be assigned to support team objectives or organizational needs.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management, Human Resources or a similar field.
With 2 to 3 years end-to-end payroll processing experience.
Advanced Mathematical skills and strong attention to detail.
Proficient with payroll software including Quickbooks and Sprout Payroll
Familiarity with accounting software and procedures.
Proficient with Microsoft excel or spreadsheet.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Familiarity with labor laws and taxation.
Ability to investigate issues and find solutions
