We are seeking an experienced Deputy Head of Information Technology to support the Head of IT in leading the organizations IT strategy, operations, and digital transformation initiatives. This role plays a critical leadership position in ensuring the efficiency of IT operations, overseeing major technology projects, and aligning IT capabilities with business goals.

What You'll Do

Assist the Head of IT in defining and executing the organisations IT strategy, roadmap, and performance objectives
Support IT financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimisation initiatives
Drive technology innovation to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer experience
Ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of enterprise systems and network infrastructure
Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives, including automation and system upgrades
Strengthen organisational resilience by overseeing Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) initiatives
Monitor and report critical technology incidents to senior management and provide recommendations for resolution
Develop and implement cloud strategies including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS adoption and cloud migration initiatives
Manage hybrid and multi-cloud environments while ensuring security, performance, and compliance
Enforce IT governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory compliance standards
Collaborate with security teams to strengthen cybersecurity posture and monitor IT risk management processes
Oversee IT projects through the PMO to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business priorities
Manage vendor relationships, technology procurement, and contract negotiations
Evaluate emerging technologies for adoption and enterprise integration
Mentor and guide IT teams, promoting innovation, accountability, and professional development
Support workforce planning and skill development across infrastructure, networking, cloud, security, and DevOps teams
Work with development teams to design and implement systems that improve operational efficiency and customer experience
Deliver executive-level MIS reports and presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders
Represent the IT department and deputise for the Head of IT in board meetings, IT committees, and leadership discussions

What You Bring

Must-have

• Degree or Masters in Information Technology or related field
• Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in IT leadership roles
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing end-to-end IT systems operations
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, DevOps practices, and cloud technologies
• Experience in IT financial planning, budgeting, and cost-benefit analysis
• Proven ability to prepare executive-level MIS reports and presentations for senior management and C-suite stakeholders
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders

Nice-to-have

Broad knowledge across systems development lifecycle, IT project management, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT governance
Experience establishing IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
Knowledge of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR)
Certifications or exposure to ISO27001 / ISO27003, ITIL, COBIT, or other governance standards
