Job Role: Business Development / Admin / Marketing VA (Accounting Software)
Compensation range: $1,500-2,000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: We’re looking for a proactive and reliable Virtual Assistant to support a growing accounting software business. This role blends business development, admin, and basic marketing support, with a strong focus on outreach and client engagement. You’ll play a key role in connecting with accounting firms, booking product demos, and ensuring smooth follow-ups, while also assisting with day-to-day administrative and marketing tasks. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who is confident in communication and eager to grow with a startup environment.
At least 3 years of experience in business development, sales support, or a similar client-facing role
Experience working with or selling software (SaaS), ideally within accounting or finance, is highly preferred
Strong spoken and written English communication skills
Proficiency in Xero, along with a strong understanding of accounting firm processes within the Australian context.
Experience with CRM tools and basic marketing platforms is an advantage, familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Clandestine, and MailChimp would be considered a plus.
Comfortable with outreach, lead generation, and follow-ups
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Willing and able to work Adelaide business hours
