The QA Tester is responsible for ensuring quality assurance and quality management controls across customer-impacting releases and IT Operations processes.
Embedding the Tech Ops Quality Management Framework within IT Operations
Leading customer journey validation during UAT
Performing independent quality review and oversight of vendor testing
Supporting risk-based release readiness assessments
This role combines hands-on UAT execution with structured quality governance and continuous improvement activities.
Support implementation of quality standards for Jira Service Desk, CABS, and incident management processes.
Conduct sampling-based quality reviews of tickets and incident reports.
Identify recurring quality gaps and documentation deficiencies.
Validate root cause analysis quality and corrective actions.
Contribute to quality metrics tracking and reporting.
Ensure documentation is audit-ready and aligned with defined standards.
Escalate recurring or systemic quality risks to QA Manager.
Design and execute end-to-end customer journey test scenarios during UAT.
Validate real-life business flows across mobile and web platforms.
Ensure business, operational, and downstream process impacts are assessed.
Facilitate UAT sessions with business stakeholders.
Track, document, and prioritize UAT findings based on risk and customer impact.
Provide structured UAT validation prior to release endorsement.
Review vendor test plans, test cases, and coverage.
Validate adequacy of regression and functional test coverage.
Perform selective validation of vendor-reported results.
Monitor defect trends and identify defect leakage risks.
Challenge gaps in coverage, integration risks, and edge-case handling.
Support CAB reviews by providing quality observations.
Escaped defects

Repeat incidents linked to releases
Ticket/incident documentation quality
Participate in post-release quality reviews.
Recommend process improvements based on trend analysis.
Support continuous improvement initiatives under the QM framework.
Holder of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Possesses a minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing for both mobile and web applications.
Skilled in conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).
Capable of analyzing requirements to develop test scenarios and test cases.
Proficient in various software testing methodologies and tools.
Experienced and knowledgeable in using test case management and defect tracking tools.
Knowledgeable about different types of mobile applications, including iOS and Android platforms.
Experience working in agile or scrum environments is considered an advantage.
Basic understanding of financial systems and prior experience testing FinTech products is a plus.
