Job Title – Accounts and Tax Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts and Tax Specialist to manage financial accounting and taxation functions within a dynamic oil & gas services environment. The role involves handling financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting accurate financial reporting to enable effective business operations and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial ManagementMaintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable processes.

Taxation & Compliance Handle direct and indirect tax filings, including GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.Ensure compliance with Indian tax laws and regulatory standards.Prepare and review tax returns, reports, and supporting documentation.Coordinate with auditors and tax authorities when required.

Financial Reporting & Analysis Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and provide insights.Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.Prepare reports for management to support decision-making.Monitor expenses and support cost control initiatives.

Audit & Internal ControlsSupport internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.Ensure adherence to financial policies and internal control procedures.Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.

Coordination & SupportCoordinate with internal departments for financial data and approvals.Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursements.Maintain organized financial records for audits and reporting purposes.Provide support for finance-related administrative activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional certification such as CA Inter/Final, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.4–7 years of experience in accounting and taxation, preferably within oil & gas, engineering, or service industries.
