RN Clinical Coordinator, Heart and Vascular

Major Responsibilities

Develops and manages programs to support quality, efficiency, and national recognition for excellence in Subspecialty Heart and Vascular care.

Serves as a primary point of entry for providers and patients requiring extensive coordination of care and helps the patient overcome obstacles to timely diagnosis and treatment.

Educates and collaborates with multidisciplinary team to plan and implement clinical research related care to participating research subjects and families.

Responsible for patient and family from the time of diagnosis through treatment and continuing through the outpatient clinic.

Promotes knowledge of disease process for the patient, family, and care providers.

Enhances the ServiceLine by developing, implementing and directing the Subspecialty program, services, systems and resources.

Contributes to information network formation by developing and maintaining linkages internally and with regional hospitals, clinics, and providers.

Manages individual workload and expertise.

Promotes the Program by developing and implementing plans in conjunction with Marketing Department.

Supports program operations by completing other duties as assigned or required.

Minimum Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.

Certification / License

Current licensure as Registered Nurse with applicable state Board of Nursing or compact state as defined by applicable state Board of Nursing.

BLS certification required.

Work Experience

Five years' Heart and Vascular or Heart and Vascular related experience required.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Ability to provide direct and indirect patient care.

Excellent interpersonal skills Solid oral, written and listening communication skills

Demonstrated organizational skills

Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Contact with patients and family members under wide variety of circumstances

Possible exposure to infectious and contagious diseases

Potential exposure to radiation hazards

Exposure to housekeeping/cleaning agents/chemicals

Subject to many interruptions.
