Business Development Manager - Cellulosic Passive Fire Protection (C-PFP) Middle East

At Hempel, we protect assets, people, and infrastructure where it matters most. As part of our Infrastructure segment, we are looking for a Business Development Manager - C‑PFP to lead and grow our Cellulosic Passive Fire Protection business across the Middle East.

This role combines leadership, strategic selling, and hands‑on market engagement in a highly specialized technical environment, where you will influence markets, customers, and teams across KSA, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Egypt.

This role can be based in Saudi, Qatar or Sharjah and will report into the Sales Director – Middle East Energy and Infrastructure.

Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to

Lead and drive the regional commercial strategy for C‑PFP across multiple Middle East markets

Own revenue, profitability, and performance for the area

Build and strengthen relationships with key accounts, specifiers, and industry influencers

Guide and influence regional sales teams to exceed targets and deliver sustainable growth

Identify market trends, future demand, and growth opportunities within the PFP space

Ensure Hempel’s C‑PFP portfolio remains fit for market needs, working closely with Marketing and Product teams

Drive pipeline visibility, CRM excellence, and structured sales processes

Act as the regional commercial and technical reference point for C‑PFP

Champion commercial excellence, value‑based selling, and customer centricity

Represent Hempel competently across stakeholders while ensuring full compliance and governance

Furthermore, we expect that you have

Proven experience in commercial leadership, sales, or business development within PFP, fire protection, coatings, or technical construction solutions

Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong preference for an MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline

Strong understanding of Cellulosic Passive Fire Protection systems and project‑based environments

Commercially sharp, strategic, and data‑driven with experience working to defined standards

Experience influencing teams across countries and cultures (people leadership or strong matrix leadership)

Proven ability to perform in high‑pressure environments and deliver against ambitious targets

Proactive, creative, and innovative in identifying opportunities and solving problems

Capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Strong digital capability with experience using CRM and sales tools

Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage
