Hallmarc National Projects is an Australia-wide, end-to-end turnkey fitout company with over 22 years of building industry experience. Founded by Marcus Hall in 2016, we deliver fitouts across three core sectors – Retail, Hospitality and Commercial – with in-house joinery manufacturing on the Gold Coast (located at Arundel and Wongawallen) and a trusted network of specialist trade partners nationwide.
Our in-house factory is a core competitive advantage. It gives us quality control, speed and manufacturing flexibility that competitors who outsource joinery simply can't match. Every retail fixture, joinery component and bespoke fitout element that comes out of our factory reflects the standard our clients expect – and that standard starts on the factory floor.
Our clients include Just Group (1,000+ stores over 15 years), TAB, Zambrero, Industry, Vodafone, and many more. We hold shopfitting licences in VIC, QLD, SA, WA and ACT.
'Spaces to be remembered.'
This is a senior leadership role at the heart of Hallmarc's manufacturing operation. As Production Manager, you will be responsible for running the Gold Coast joinery factory end-to-end – from scheduling and supplier procurement through to quality, team performance and on-time delivery of every job out the door.
This role is effectively the General Manager of the manufacturing division. You will own the factory's output, its people and its relationships with external suppliers and trade partners. You will work closely with our Project Managers and Project Coordinators to ensure that manufacturing timelines align precisely with project delivery schedules nationally.
We are looking for an experienced operator who has run a joinery or manufacturing environment before – someone who knows how to get the best from a skilled trades team, hold suppliers accountable and drive a culture of quality and on-time performance. You'll bring the systems thinking and leadership presence to take this division to the next level as Hallmarc continues to grow.
Production Planning & Scheduling
Own the factory production schedule end-to-end – plan, sequence and prioritise all jobs to meet project delivery windows nationally
Work closely with Project Managers and Project Coordinators to align manufacturing timelines with site programs and handover dates
Manage workflow across the factory floor to maximise efficiency, minimise downtime and meet all output targets
Anticipate capacity constraints and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts before they impact projects
Oversee cut lists, shop drawings and production documentation for accuracy and completeness before manufacturing commences
Supplier & Procurement Management
Manage all supplier relationships – timber, hardware, laminates, specialty materials – to secure best price, quality and lead time outcomes
Negotiate and manage supplier agreements; drive accountability on delivery commitments
Maintain appropriate stock levels for core materials without over-capitalising on inventory
Source alternative suppliers where required to manage risk on lead time, quality or cost
Approve purchase orders and manage procurement within approved budgets
Team Leadership & Performance
Lead, develop and manage the factory team – cabinet makers, joiners, machinists and production support staff
Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular reviews; build a high-accountability, high-performance culture on the floor
Manage rostering, leave and workforce planning to maintain production continuity
Recruit and onboard new factory team members as the business scales
Foster a culture of craftsmanship, pride in output and continuous improvement
Quality & Compliance
Ensure every job leaving the factory meets Hallmarc's quality standards – zero tolerance for defective work reaching site
Implement and maintain quality control checkpoints at each stage of production
Maintain a safe, clean and compliant factory environment in line with WHS obligations and Cm3 certification requirements
Manage factory plant, equipment and tooling – maintenance schedules, servicing and capital replacements
Ensure all factory processes and documentation comply with relevant Australian Standards and licensing requirements
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Report weekly to the Managing Director on production status, output volumes, delivery performance and key issues
Track and report on factory costs, wastage and efficiency against targets
Identify and implement process improvements that reduce cost, improve quality or increase throughput
Contribute to new project feasibility assessments where manufacturing complexity or capacity is a consideration
Minimum 7 years’ experience in joinery, cabinet making, shopfitting manufacturing or a closely related production environment
Strong understanding of cabinet making processes and materials – from raw material selection through to finished product
Demonstrated experience managing a production team in a manufacturing or workshop setting – hiring, leading and developing trades people
Proven leadership skills – you set the standard on the floor, develop your people and run a high-accountability environment without micromanaging
Project management capability: scheduling, planning and coordination across multiple concurrent jobs with competing deadlines
The ability to problem solve production challenges quickly and decisively – keeping jobs on track when things don’t go to plan
Strong attention to detail – you pick up errors before they reach site, not after
Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, project teams and the factory team
Ability to order materials, manage inventory and hold suppliers and stakeholders accountable to delivery commitments
Commercially aware – you understand costs, waste and efficiency as business levers, not just operational metrics
Proficiency in Mozaik Drafting or Cabinet Vision software (Mozaik preferred); experience with similar cabinet/joinery production software considered
Trade qualification in Cabinet Making, Carpentry or Joinery
Experience in shopfitting or retail fitout manufacturing specifically
Familiarity with Nexvia or similar project management software
Experience scaling a production operation through a period of business growth
Knowledge of national fitout delivery requirements and manufacturing-to-site logistics
$110,000 – $140,000 base salary + superannuation (commensurate with experience and the scope of responsibility)
Phone and laptop provided
Gold Coast based – work in a modern, well-equipped joinery factory
Direct reporting line to the Managing Director – your voice matters here
A senior, experienced team that has built something real over 22+ years
A fun, energetic culture with regular team events and annual awards nights
A pivotal leadership role in a growing national fitout business with clear ambitions
The autonomy to run the manufacturing division the right way – with the support of a founder who knows the trade
