Based in Sydney, the Risk in Change Manager position is a 12 month max term contract role that sits within the Line 1 Business Risk Hub and works closely with Group Risk and Business Risk teams to deliver Risk in Change outcomes.
The Risk in Change Specialist leads Risk in Change activities across key initiatives, ensuring strategic, operational, and technological changes are effectively assessed and managed for both delivery and post-implementation risk. The role requires strong experience in risk management, change, and project environments, with a demonstrated ability to lead Risk in Change for complex initiatives and mitigate change-related risks.
As part of a small, flat organisation, this is a hands-on role involving close, day-to-day collaboration across functions to identify and mitigate risks in line with the organisation’s risk appetite and strategy.
Lead Risk in Change assessments across all programs.
Identify, prioritise, and mitigate delivery and change risks.
Embed risk practices into project and change frameworks.
Advisory & Governance
Advise senior leaders on risk impacts of programs and transformations.
Deliver concise risk reporting and recommendations.
Monitor and adjust mitigation strategies.
Enhance Risk in Change processes and capability.
Embed best practice across delivery teams.
Support RBA engagement on material changes.
Review and contribute to regulatory submissions.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in risk management, with strong expertise in a line 1 Risk in Change Manager role.
Demonstrated success managing complex change initiatives and mitigating delivery risk.
Experience in technology-enabled programs; payments or financial services experience highly regarded.
Strong analytical capability, strategic judgement, and attention to detail.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including executive-level reporting.
Solid working knowledge of risk and change management frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
Relevant tertiary qualification in risk, finance, business, or a related discipline; professional certifications preferred.
Experience delivering projects with complex dependencies, third-party integration, and regulatory engagement.
