The Yard Attendant plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pool service company by maintaining company trucks and equipment, overseeing the delivery of chemicals and service items, and overseeing purchasing and receiving for all operations. This position involves organizing and restocking pool cleaning equipment, performing basic vehicle checks, and keeping the service yard clean and organized. The Yard Attendant ensures our service trucks are ready for daily operations and supports the team in achieving efficiency and reliability.
Clean and organize trucks at the beginning and end of each day.
Restock cleaning chemicals, tools, and supplies for each truck based on daily needs.
Conduct routine checks on trucks, including fuel, oil, and tire pressure. Report maintenance needs to the Pool Service Manager.
Assist in coordinating routine vehicle servicing with external vendors.
Inspect, clean, and maintain pool cleaning tools and equipment.
Ensure all equipment is functional and ready for use. Report damaged or missing items.
Maintain an orderly and clean service yard, ensuring easy access to supplies and equipment.
Safely store chemicals according to company safety protocols and regulations.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
Manage inventory of pool chemicals and supplies, reporting shortages to the manager.
Support the delivery and distribution of equipment as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety practices.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with pool cleaning equipment and chemicals (preferred but not required).
Outdoor work environment with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Regular handling of pool chemicals (training and safety equipment provided).
Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
