Origin (previously 10xConstruction) is building general-purpose autonomous robots for US construction to tackle rising costs, safety risks, and labour shortages. Our modular, multi-trade platform combines purpose-built hardware with real-time site intelligence to navigate complex environments and execute tasks with precision. Trained in high-fidelity simulation and already deployed on live sites, our robots deliver 5x faster execution, 250%+ margin expansion, and significant cost savings. Join India’s most talent-dense robotics team consisting of individuals from IITs, Stanford, UCLA, etc.
You will work on integrating one or more robot submodules (navigation, manipulation, perception) into the Isaac Sim simulation environment. The goal is to make each module behave identically in simulation as it does on the real robot — same ROS2 interfaces, same topic structure, same failure modes.
Study how a target submodule (e.g., navigation stack, manipulation planner, or perception pipeline) operates on the real robot
Map the ROS2 topics, services, and actions the module publishes/subscribes to
Replicate or mock the module's interface inside Isaac Sim so existing code runs without modification
Validate that sim outputs (poses, pointclouds, joint states) match real sensor data within an acceptable tolerance
Assist in setting up the HIL bench: physical robot joints / sensors connected to sim in a closed loop
Validate that commands sent from sim are correctly executed on real hardware and vice versa
Help debug latency and synchronization issues between sim and physical systems
Final year / pre-final year B.Tech or M.Tech in Robotics, CS, EE, or related field
Working knowledge of ROS2 (topics, services, actions, TF)
Python proficiency (can read and write production-quality code)
Basic understanding of at least one of: navigation (Nav2), manipulation (MoveIt2), or perception (pointcloud processing, SLAM)
Comfortable reading documentation and exploring unfamiliar codebases
A short description of a ROS2 project you've worked on — what problem you solved, what you built, what broke and how you fixed it.
Any prior experience with simulators — even Gazebo counts.
Which submodule area interests you most (navigation / manipulation / perception) and why.
