Conduct on-site measurement, take-offs, and pricing of construction projects
Prepare bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents
Liaise with contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate pricing
Manage project costs and budgets, including forecasting and analysis
Provide cost advice and recommendations to the project team and clients
Manage change orders and variations to the contract
Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions
Monitor project progress and identify potential cost overruns or delays
Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members
Maintain accurate project documentation, including measurement books and cost reports
Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices
Relevant tertiary qualification in the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software / Cost X
Experience managing a broad range of build projects
RICS / AIQS accredited candidates will be highly regarded
A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception, through to completion and post-project review
