KPMG’s Technology Implementation team supports clients across a wide range of industries to deliver technology‑enabled business transformation. Our SAP Capability is growing nationally, and in this role, you will be a key contributor within a team of highly experienced SAP architects, consultants, and delivery specialists. We partner with clients across complex transformation programs, ensuring SAP solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with modern architectural and cloud practices.

Your Opportunity

As an SAP Solution Architect, you will be accountable for the end‑to‑end solution design across SAP Private Cloud (RISE) and Public Cloud landscapes. You will act as the architectural authority across both presales and delivery, ensuring high‑quality, scalable, and secure SAP solutions that meet client requirements and support the success of our SAP practice.

You will play a critical role in shaping solutions, guiding project teams, and influencing architectural standards across the firm. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with senior stakeholders, contribute to major transformation initiatives, and help uplift architectural capability across the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Presales & Solution Design

Shape SAP architecture across presales engagements including

Client workshops and discovery

End‑to‑end SAP solution design across functional, technical, and integration layers

Architecture diagrams, solution documentation, and effort estimates

Design scalable solutions across SAP Private Cloud Edition and SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, aligned with SAP Clean Core principles.

Contribute to proposals, SoWs, pricing models, and delivery approaches.

Act as a primary architectural advisor to sales teams, delivery leads, partners, and customers.

Delivery Quality & Governance

Own architectural quality across active SAP engagements.

Conduct

  • Architecture and design reviews
  • Design assurance checkpoints
  • Risk and dependency assessments

Ensure solutions adhere to

SAP leading practices

Cloud and security standards

Integration and data architecture principles

Provide escalation support for complex delivery challenges.

Guide delivery teams to resolve design, performance, scalability, or integration issues.

Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement

Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT stakeholders.

Collaborate closely with SAP, hyperscalers, and partner ecosystems.

Mentor and uplift architects, functional consultants, and technical specialists.

Contribute to the development of architectural standards, accelerators, templates, and reusable assets.

Experience

SAP Functional & Technical Expertise

Broad hands‑on experience across major SAP modules, such as

S/4HANA Finance

Manufacturing & Supply Chain (PP, MM, SD, EWM, TM, IBP)

EAM

SuccessFactors

Ariba & Fieldglass

BTP, Integration Suite, CPI

Analytics (SAC, Datasphere)

Strong understanding of

SAP Private Cloud Edition (RISE)

SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

Hybrid and side‑by‑side architectures

Architecture & Cloud

Demonstrated experience designing enterprise‑scale SAP architectures.

Knowledge of

SAP Clean Core strategy and extension patterns (in‑app and side‑by‑side)

Integration architectures (API‑led, event‑driven)

Experience working with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) in SAP environments.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

Strong commercial and presales mindset.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability.

Ability to challenge constructively and make sound architectural decisions.

Experience supporting project teams through complex design and delivery issues.

Qualifications

  • SAP Architecture certification (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate or Professional) – highly regarded
  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud certifications – highly regarded
  • TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification – preferred
  • Hyperscaler cloud certification (AWS / Azure / GCP) – desirable
