The Supplier Quality Expeditor is responsible to a specific supplier’s category and responsible for obtaining and agreeing on the baseline schedule from suppliers, tracking and monitoring their progress, coordinating and planning expediting activities within the supplier's category. They report to the Supplier Quality Manager and prepare LMS updates, along with monthly project suppliers report, for the assigned system according to categories.
Obtain, review and approve Supplier programme for the assigned equipment
Identify the key milestones (time and quality) in Supplier execution of the contract and monitor their achievement on time and quality.
Monitors the progress of suppliers as per categories (desk and field expediting).
Align the suppliers programme and the content of progress report from suppliers (MPR)
Quality control & inspections
Manage autonomously inspections at suppliers’ site in accordance with the ITP (inspection testing plan) s, the QCP (quality control plan) and supplier programme
Verify if material grades are following standard codes indicated into applicable ITPs
Review supplier inspection reports, testing and certification if follow ITPs
Monitor/supervise welding activities (check If WPS welding procedures specification/ WPQR welding procedures qualification record are followed properly) regarding progress.
Verify the material traceability during fabrication to ensure the flow continuity.
Check tooling and equipment calibration are not expired and well maintained (according to ISO9001).
Review certification book (Quality documentation) issued by supplier for documentation progress.
Monitor the progress of assigned suppliers from PO to Delivery.
Ensure that all conditions are met in supplier to report actual progress
Plan, monitor and expedite the inspections (at suppliers' premises and remote inspections)
Responsible to plan and assign adequately expediting inspectors (external resource) as required.
Collect, verify and distribute inspectors' reports.
Review, verify with Suppliers and report the actual supplier progress to the SQM
Establish solid relation with the supplier's contacts to ensure the OTD and achievement of key intermediary milestones
Identify potential issues such as delay and proactively find mitigation with supplier to guarantee OTD and key milestones achievement.
Report and as may be required escalation expediting issues to SPM and/or SQM.
Tools and process
Ensure the accuracy and level of details of the expediting information
Ensure that the expediting status is properly available in the required tool (LMS, PIRS, monthly project meeting…)
Awareness of the HSE requirements relevant to their role, and implements and complies with them
Technical High School or Bachelor Technical Degree ( University Degree preferable)
Relevant professional experience in plant construction or in one of the sub-areas as boiler, steel, apparatus, pipeline construction
NDT qualification at least VT level 2, PT and RT lev.2 film reading (UT lev.2 is a plus)
Welding qualification IWE/EWE certification as minimum
Extensive Experience in Coating Field (Coating qualification NACE/ Frosio Level 2 is a plus)
Experienced to carry on inspection at supplier premises according to approved ITP and Technical specifications.
Able to read and interpreting supplier Manufacturing fabrication plan
Familiar with main international codes such as EN-ISO/ASME-IX/PED.
Extensive working experience in international projects and environment.
Lead Auditor ISO 9001:20015 and ISO14001:2015 certification
Good knowledge of MS-Office (Excel, Power point)
Good knowledge of MS Project
Good knowledge of progress monitoring tool like MS Project or similar
Multilingual with professional English (min. B2)
Extensive Knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques owning recognised training certificates (e.g. ASNT, ISO 9712)
Extensive knowledge and understanding of read drawing
Inspection reports extensive knowledge
Extensive knowledge to Expedite supplier premises based to real fabrication status compared with supplier manufacturing fabrication plan.
Hands-on mentality with the ability to work well under pressure
High effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
High Integrative thinking abilities and proven ability to apply ambitious methods in order to manage complex and challenging circumstances and to achieve the best outcome
Extensive Intercultural competence: ability to function and communicate effectively across cultures
Willing to travel (upto 100%).
