Job Description

ITAccelerate is working with our client, a leader in online commerce, to help build their team of highly intelligent and capable engineers. We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer, who will work with a team of engineers building and maintaining our customer’s financial management web application. Based in Cebu City, Philippines, this is a key role within our customer’s engineering team, requiring extensive web development experience with Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your client-side teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm and determination.

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field of study

3-5 years of backend development in a high paced setting

Expert understanding of C/C++, Java, Go, Rust

Understanding of SQL, NoSQL,3rd party APIs

Experience building REST API platforms with Java (7+) and Spring 4

Passion for writing high quality code and strong ability to test coverage

Strong English communication skills – verbal and written testing required

Client and ITAccelerate cultural integration required – we like to have fun but work hard!

Additional Information

Bonus Qualifications to Set You Apart

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other equivalents

Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
