Description

Intuition Machines uses AI/ML to build enterprise security products. We apply our research to systems that serve hundreds of millions of people, with a team distributed around the world. You are probably familiar with our best-known product, the hCaptcha security suite. Our approach is simple: low overhead, small teams, and rapid iteration.

As a Senior Cybersecurity Fraud Analyst, you will use your expertise in data analysis, financial transactions, and web traffic analysis to identify and investigate potential fraudulent activities within our hCaptcha SaaS security platform.

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting advanced investigations into complex fraud patterns, developing actionable insights to enhance our fraud detection capabilities, and collaborating with machine learning teams to continuously improve our AI/ML detection and response systems.

Using AI: Coding agents are indisputably useful tools. We provide access to the top 3 models, and were early adopters of evals-first development flows. Familiarity with coding using agents is part of all interviews. However, reliability and correctness are critical for us. You will need to read and understand every line of code with your name on it, and it will be reviewed by both people and machines.

What will you do

Monitor, identify, and analyze events from diverse data sources, including financial transactions and web traffic, to detect and respond to fraudulent activities.

Conduct advanced investigations of suspected fraud, analyzing behavior patterns and anomalies to assess risk and determine appropriate actions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Customer Support, to enhance fraud detection and prevention strategies.

Help build and align fraud detection automation, dashboards, and reports.

Continuously audit and refine fraud detection measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Stay informed of emerging fraud trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to keep our fraud prevention strategies up-to-date.

What we are looking for

Minimum of 3 years of experience in fraud detection, financial data analysis, risk management, or trust & safety.

Proficiency in SQL and ideally Python for data analysis and visualization.

In-depth understanding of fraud detection methodologies and the fraud landscape.

Ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset.

Strong communication and collaboration skills in English, able to work effectively across teams.

Familiarity with the analysis of web-based and API abuse.

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with web security and secure configuration practices.

Interest in staying current with industry trends and fraud prevention technologies.

Familiarity with modern fraud machine learning practices.

Holding a valid CFE, CFS, CFF, or CISA certification is a plus.

What do we offer

Fully remote position with flexible working hours.

An inspiring team of colleagues spread all over the world.

Pleasant, modern development and deployment workflows: ship early, ship often.

High impact: lots of users, happy customers, high growth, and cutting-edge R&D.

Flat organization, direct interaction with customer teams.

We celebrate equality of opportunity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members. Join us as we transform cybersecurity, user privacy, and machine learning online!

Please note that all positions require pre-employment screening, including third-party verification of work history, education, and identity, as well as a final in-person interview and identity verification step, which will be conducted in your country of residence.
