Balikpapan is one of Grab's important cities in Kalimantan, alongside Samarinda, Pontianak, and Banjarmasin. It is a focus city for multiple strategic programs and campaigns (both EDLP and non‑EDLP).
As a Partner Engagement (PE) Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring a healthy and reliable driver supply, strengthening driver community engagement, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to support Grab's growth in East Kalimantan. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, you will work on-site in our Balikpapan Office
Develop partner engagement strategies and city-level campaigns to achieve Balikpapan's growth, reliability, and performance targets.
Lead end-to-end driver acquisition (online/offline) and monitor important supply metrics, driving corrective actions to ensure and reliable supply.
Plan and manage regular driver community engagements (Kopi Darat) to collect feedback and address early-stage on-ground issues.
Design and implement incentive and performance strategies to improve online hours (OH), cancellations, and overall service quality using data-driven insights.
Identify training needs and deliver structured training programs to enhance driver quality, reduce cancellations, and improve customer experience.
Coordinate with Central Ops, Marketing, city teams, and other internal functions to align programs and ensure city execution.
Support collaboration and follow‑ups with authorities, government bodies, communities, and other external partners across East Kalimantan.
Manage city-level projects and tasks with discipline, including reporting, driver communications, and ad-hoc programs to improve supply reliability and engagement.
Bachelor's degree in any field
At least 2 years of experience in operations/city management, community or partner management/sales, or field execution (tech, transport, or FMCG).
Data-driven: able to read dashboards, find basic insights, and turn them into action plans.
Experienced in working under target with proven achievement records
Knowledge of the Balikpapan / East Kalimantan ecosystem and networks is preferable
Willing to be mobile within Balikpapan and surrounding areas.
