Remote World is partnering with a US-based online learning platform to hire for this role. They host courses from over 10,000 instructors and serve 300,000+ students globally — from career changers to university students. When learners hit a problem, they need fast, helpful support to stay on track.
You'll help students get the most out of the platform — resolving technical issues, answering questions about courses and billing, and making sure nothing gets in the way of their learning. You'll work via live chat and email and be the friendly face of the product.
Handle inbound queries from students via live chat and email
Troubleshoot access, video playback, and account login issues
Help with billing, refund requests, and subscription changes
Escalate technical bugs to the product team with clear reproduction steps
Update the help centre with answers to questions that come up repeatedly
What you'll need
Excellent written English — clear, patient, and encouraging
Comfortable explaining technical steps to non-technical users
Organised and able to manage a support queue independently
Genuine interest in education and helping people learn
Nice to have
Experience in edtech, e-learning, or academic support
Familiarity with helpdesk tools (Intercom, Freshdesk, or similar)
Background in teaching, tutoring, or student services
