The Opportunity

Distribution, Australian Steel Products are seeking an experienced Slitter Operator to join our team in Eagle Farm! The Distribution business includes quality brands such as Orrcon Distribution, BlueScope Distribution, Metalcorp and Impact Steel.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll operate slitting and processing machinery, use forklifts and overhead cranes, prepare customer orders, and ensure product quality meets required standards.

Use your technical skills to troubleshoot and optimise slitting processes, making a real impact on production efficiency and work alongside a great team in a well-organised facility.

You can choose either

Day Shift – 6am–2pm, Monday to Friday – enjoy your afternoons free for family, friends, or hobbies.

Afternoon Shift – 2pm – 10pm Monday to Friday –have your mornings free for appointments, family commitments or personal routines, easier commute during off-peak hours.

What will you do?

In this role, you’ll play a key part in our production workflow, using your problem-solving skills to keep the slitting line running smoothly. Your day to day will include:

setting up, adjusting and troubleshooting slitter settings

operating gantry cranes and forklifts to move coils and load/unload trucks

completing quality checks, measurements and documentation

performing general warehouse and housekeeping duties

working collaboratively as part of a friendly, safety-driven team

More about you

We’re looking for someone who enjoys thinking on their feet, solving problems, and taking ownership of their work. You’ll:

operate steel slitting lines and processing machinery safely and efficiently

set up, adjust and troubleshoot slitter settings

operate gantry cranes and forklifts to move coils and load/unload trucks

carry out quality checks, measurements and documentation

pick and prepare orders with high attention to detail

perform general warehouse and housekeeping duties

work collaboratively as part of a friendly, safety-driven team
