NFC Mobile Wallet Technical Director (m/f/d)

As Technical Director for NFC Mobile Wallet, you will own the end-to-end technical strategy, system architecture, and execution of NFC-based mobile wallet solutions covering secure payments, access, transit, and value-added services. You will act as the technical authority bridging chipset capabilities, secure elements, software platforms, ecosystems, and customer requirements, while leading interdisciplinary global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive the technical vision and system architecture across HW, FW, OS, middleware, and applications
• Define product and system requirements based on customer and stakeholder input
• Lead NFC controller, Secure Element, OS, and wallet framework architecture definition
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC, EMVCo, GlobalPlatform, and NFC Forum specifications
• Lead and mentor global interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure quality, security, and interoperability
• Support roadmap definition, risk management, and change control

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong system-level background in NFC and contactless technologies
• Deep understanding of mobile wallet and payment ecosystems
• Proven technical leadership experience
• Experience with Secure Elements, cryptography, and embedded systems
• Solid understanding of NFC RF principles (13.56 MHz)
• Fluent English
