Business Development Manager (UK)

Bjak · Remote, United Kingdom, GB · 7 months ago

Build momentum. Drive results. Scale operations.

As BJAK’s Business Development Manager, you are the frontline driver of revenue.

Your job is simple: bring in insurer partnerships fast, activate them fast, and turn them into volume.

This role sits at the core of our UK expansion. You will be responsible for building high-impact insurer relationships, accelerating go-lives, and driving meaningful commercial outcomes. You must thrive in fast-paced, founder-driven environments where speed, clarity, and results matter above all.

What You Will Do

Acquire and activate new insurer partners with speed

Lead the full partnership cycle—from outreach and relationship building to negotiation, onboarding, and integration. You are expected to open doors, move conversations forward quickly, and deliver fast-market-entry partnerships.

Build and maintain a strong, visible pipeline with disciplined follow-ups and zero drop-offs

Own the pipeline end-to-end. Maintain a clean CRM, follow up consistently, and ensure every prospect moves through the funnel with urgency. No loose ends, no stalled opportunities.

Negotiate and close deals confidently with clear commercial terms and fast go-live timelines

Work closely with legal, product, and tech teams to craft commercially sound agreements. Push for fast activation, align stakeholders, and ensure partners can launch smoothly without delays.

Hit monthly revenue and policy targets — not just close deals, ensure ongoing productivity

After partners go live, continue driving volume and performance. Monitor KPIs, optimize partner output, explore cross-selling opportunities, and turn partnerships into sustainable revenue streams.

Requirements

Requirements

If you need to be nudged, reminded, or handheld — this is not the role

You must be highly self-driven, proactive, and accountable. We expect initiative, not instructions.

Permanent residency in the UK

You will serve as BJAK’s on-the-ground presence, understanding local regulations, insurers, and market behavior.

Min 5 years experience in insurance / fintech industry with strong negotiation & commercial instincts

You understand insurer dynamics, commercial models, underwriting considerations, and partnership structures.

Existing network of insurer relationships

This allows you to open senior-level conversations immediately and accelerate market penetration.

You take ownership, not instructions.

You run your pipeline independently, solve problems fast, and operate with full autonomy.
