We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated Legal Assistant to join our dedicated Abuse Law team on a full-time, permanent basis. Located in our Perth CBD office, you’ll play a key role in supporting a diverse and meaningful caseload of Abuse Law matters.
Maurice Blackburn has a long history of practising in Abuse Law, and of advocating on the part of survivors of childhood sexual abuse. This is a unique opportunity to establish credentials and expertise in a developing area of law. Experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a similar role, ideally within a Personal Injuries environment
Compassionate, resilient and maturity to handle the nature of the work
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work under pressure
The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Enthusiasm and initiative
Confidence in fast paced environments with tenacity to meet deadlines
High attention to detail
Excellent and tactful communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
Proven ability to build strong relationships
Able to use judgement about escalation of issues / information to Supervisor
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
