Teacher – Humanities (Religious Education and History)
Cayman Prep and High School is a private, co-educational Christian school with over 1,000 students ranging from Kindergarten to Year 13 and offers a British-based international curriculum leading to (I)GCSE and A-level qualifications. Teacher – Humanities
The successful candidate will hold a degree in Religious Education or History, along with an internationally recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, Bachelor of Education or H.Dip.Ed in the relevant subject. Applicants must have a minimum of three years' recent experience teaching History at Key Stage 3 and IGCSE, as well as Religious Studies at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The ability and willingness to teach an additional subject, such as Geography, would be advantageous. The role may also include additional teaching responsibilities as required by the school.
Will be an excellent classroom practitioner with creative and innovative approaches, committed to achieving high academic standards
Will have up-to-date knowledge of the British National Curriculum and relevant examination specifications
Will demonstrate strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to differentiate effectively
Will be able to work collaboratively while managing multiple priorities and contributing positively to the wider school community
Will be fully IT literate and confident integrating technology into teaching and learning
Will be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities
Will understand character-based education and be able to support individual student development
Will be expected to uphold and support the Christian ethos of the school
Prior experience in an international or multicultural school environment is advantageous
Salary range for the position is CI$50,700 – CI$69,950 per annum, commensurate with experience based on the school's salary scale. Benefits include:
