The person who builds the intelligent systems across a performance gym and a B2B SaaS platform — so both founding teams can focus on the work only humans can do.
Fitness Studio (member management, events) + Gym-Tech SaaS (B2B, gym owner clients)
Must have meaningful overlap with Atlantic Time (AST/ADT) business hours
GoHighLevel (required), n8n, LLM APIs (OpenAI / Anthropic), ZenPlanner, Read AI, Slack
Our client operates two businesses that both need AI infrastructure built from scratch. The gym needs an end-to-end member lifecycle automation stack — lead capture to retention. The SaaS platform needs prospecting, onboarding, and churn prevention agents that scale revenue without scaling headcount. This hire owns both.
This is not a workflow configuration role. The right candidate will architect agents that make decisions, hold context, and act autonomously — not trigger-action flows with an AI label on them.
Member check-in automation, booking and cancellation flows, and FAQ chatbots for front desk reduction
Lead inquiry chatbot for the website and Meta ad funnel — qualifies prospects and routes into GHL
4-part email nurture sequence in GHL from first touch to booked consultation
Automated follow-up sequences that adapt based on lead behaviour: opens, clicks, non-response
Event communications: ticket reminders, training countdowns, waitlist management
Member retention scoring and attrition risk alerts using gym management platform data
Class programming support tools, attendance tracking, and session note generators for coaches
Content calendar planner, caption writer, and newsletter agent for the marketing team
Weekly automated KPI reporting dashboard — CEO sees everything without logging into multiple tools
This is a builder role inside two fast-moving businesses. The team has a clear vision and does not want polished decks. The right person ships a working prototype before asking for a meeting about the approach — and can hold two very different business contexts in their head simultaneously.
Thinks in agents, not Zaps — sketches agent architecture before touching any tool
Obsessed with what AI can do right now — follows releases, reads papers, applies new capabilities immediately
Builds end-to-end: APIs, webhooks, prompt engineering, deployment — not just drag-and-drop
Documents clearly enough that a non-technical CEO understands what was built
Strong bias for speed — ships before scheduling a planning call
Builds for now, not for theoretical future scale
Can context-switch between a gym and a SaaS startup without losing precision on either
Experience & Skills
LLM API experience: Hands-on with OpenAI, Anthropic, or equivalent — prompt engineering, tool use / function calling, agent patterns in production
GoHighLevel (GHL): Hands-on experience with CRM workflows, pipelines, automation, and GHL API — this is a hard requirement; disqualify without it
AI fluency: Active daily AI user — assessed at screening; must demonstrate specific tools and real applications, not just 'I use ChatGPT'
Automation platforms: REST APIs, webhooks, and at least one platform (n8n, Make.com, or Zapier)
Written English: Strong async documentation — samples reviewed at screening
Availability: Atlantic Time (AST/ADT) overlap required for standups and async collaboration
