At Kubota Australia, we distribute and provide after sales support for high value, exceptional quality construction, agricultural farm machinery, implements and associated products. This position will increase sales and profits in New Zealand for Agriculture, Construction, Power Equipment and Spare parts/Accessories/Merchandising lines. This encompasses Dealers and key accounts sales which are areas that require specific focus.
The role of Zone Manager is accountable for sales volume, sales and dealer development, marketing support and support continued growth and profitability of the Kubota range through the assigned Dealer network. In this role, you will achieve target sales within an allocated zone (New Zealand - South Island) across the assigned product portfolio.
Meet or exceed set objectives (sales targets/ KPIs) to budget for each category through the development and implementation of plans and activities aligned to business and Sales strategy
Lead or assist in creating and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies to achieve wholesale and retail sales objectives. This includes proactive identification of changes in market conditions, product requirements, and ranging, pricing and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.
Work closely with assigned Dealers and establish a regular contact and monitoring cycle. Assist with Dealer cooperative advertising and dealer business management as required
Represent Kubota at industry, corporate and customer events such as; field days, exhibitions, dealer events, etc.
Prepare and present a range of sales and performance reports to enable effective decision making
Maintain and replace Dealers and OEM’s to effectively service the market
Assist with managing dealer inventory and order placement
Assist with Dealer cooperative advertising and dealership presentation
Coordinate the involvement of team members, including marketing, dealer support, service, R&D, technical and management resources (as required) to service customer expectations
Lead training and product knowledge sharing initiatives including dealer training, in conjunction with/ with the support of other internal team members
Tertiary qualification in business/ similar, and/or commensurate industry experience
Current New Zealand Driver's license and passport
Substantial senior level sales and marketing experience
High level of applied industry relevant technical knowledge
Demonstrated track record in the achievement of objectives (Sales targets and other key performance areas/ indicators)
Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy
Proven ability to effectively manage budgets, including revenue and expense
Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills including the ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally
Well developed planning and organisational skills
Sound skills in Microsoft Office/ Google Suite
*This position predominantly involves remote work and frequent regional travel
