The Data & Automation Analyst is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing data-driven solutions that support business reporting, operational analytics, and automation initiatives. This role focuses on T‑SQL development, data analysis, and process automation, working closely with business stakeholders, implementation teams, and senior technical leads to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and insight generation.
The role is hands-on and execution-focused, with opportunities to grow into advanced data engineering and automation responsibilities.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze structured datasets to generate actionable insights for business and operational teams.
Develop and maintain SQL-based reports, dashboards, and data extracts.
Validate data quality, identify inconsistencies, and support corrective actions.
Translate business requirements into clear analytical queries and outputs.
T‑SQL Development
Write and optimize T‑SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for reporting and analytics use cases.
Support data transformations and aggregations across multiple relational tables.
Improve query performance through indexing, query optimization, and best practices.
Assist senior team members with complex SQL analysis and troubleshooting.
Automation & Process Improvement
Support the development of data-driven automation workflows to reduce manual effort.
Build and maintain scripts or tools to automate recurring data tasks (loads, validations, extracts).
Contribute to internal automation initiatives using SQL-based logic and low-code/no-code tools (where applicable).
Document automation workflows and data logic for reuse and scalability.
Data Operations & Support
Assist with routine data updates, corrections, and reconciliations under defined controls.
Investigate data-related issues and support root cause analysis.
Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to resolve data defects.
Ensure adherence to data governance and access control standards.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
Work closely with business users to understand reporting and data needs.
Partner with implementation, analytics, and engineering teams on shared data initiatives.
Clearly communicate findings, assumptions, and limitations of data analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on experience with T‑SQL
Power BI / Tableau / Excel (advanced)
Low-code automation tools (preferred, not mandatory)
Understanding of basic ETL concepts
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Ability to break down business problems into data-driven solutions
Comfortable working with large and complex datasets
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Experience working with financial, operational, or market data
Exposure to Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages
Familiarity with data governance or production data controls
Experience in a SaaS, analytics, or platform-based environment
