Job Description

We are currently hiring an Accountant to strengthen the accounting team at our Ubisoft Studio in Bucharest.

The Accountant is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, solid knowledge of Romanian accounting standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Record daily accounting transactions, regarding bank statements, expense reports and travel forms;

Checking the travel expenses documents, provide information and guidance to all the employees regarding the preparation of travel expense reports;

Preparation of weekly payments and preparation of bank forms when needed;

Maintain and update accounting records in line with legal requirements and internal procedures;

Support month-end and year-end closing activities;

Perform monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts (banks, advances, treasury accounts);

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal procedures.

Systems & Tools

Use ERP system (e.g. PeopleSoft Oracle) to process transactions, extract data and generate reports.

Promote automation and digitalization initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization.

Qualifications

The professional value you bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.

2–3 years of experience in an accounting role.

Previous experience in a corporate environment is an advantage.

Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting standards (OMFP 1802/2014) and the Romanian Fiscal Code.

Good knowledge in MS Office 365, especially in MS Excel.

Experience working with an ERP system.
