We are seeking a commercially driven Projects Expert to develop the Decorative Projects business in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will represent Hempel as a company providing quality decorative paints and technical services.

You will work closely with the decorative project team to identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analyzing sales options and recommending solutions.

Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to

Maintain strong relationships with main key accounts contractors & applicators and perform projects follow-up until award stage

Exercise professional expertise on product and technical knowledge to ensure trust from specifiers

Compile and recommend paint systems based on the project specifications

Carry out regular site inspection to ensure customers are using Hempel product as per specification

Handle inquiries from Ministries, government-related establishments, and provide relevant information correctly

Coordinate with TSD personnel in case of request for a demonstration or site inspection sample

Prompt response to customer complaint as well as product enquiry

Coordinate with the branch accountant to control receivables and credit terms

Always maintain a good and updated knowledge about the market including competitors' activities, key projects, important contractors and consultants

Actively use and update CRM Tools and IQS for Sales (i.e. regular updating of Leads, Opportunities, Accounts, Tasks/Activities

This role will report into the Projects Sales Manager.

Furthermore, we expect that you have

University degree in Business Administration or any other related field preferably Technical (Chemistry) degree

Ideally to have 5 years’ experience in coatings industry or allied industries (those who bring strong project sales expertise)

Knowledge of painting technology and application will be an advantage

Familiarity with different sales techniques

Familiarity with Sales System, e.g. CRM and IQS and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Proficiency in both Arabic & English language

Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated, driven and persistent

Able to work outside in extreme weather conditions

Holds a valid driving license
