Job Description

Location: Geraldton Port

Roster: 4 Days, 4 Nights, 4 Off

Rate: $48.31 per hour + Superannuation

Shifts: 12 Hours

Type: Permanent

We are seeking a motivated Fixed Plant Operator to join the Newhaul Port Logistics team at Geraldton Port on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you’ll play a key part in safely and efficiently unloading trucks, while carrying out inspections and maintenance to keep our operations running smoothly.

What you’ll be doing

Safely and efficiently unload trucks to ensure timely material transfer.

Conduct inspections of incoming materials and plant equipment.

Carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.

Perform regular safety and functionality checks to identify and address potential issues.

Work collaboratively with management, contractors, operator maintainers, and loader operators.

Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.

Operate mobile equipment safely and report hazards promptly.

Contribute to the development and implementation of safety protocols.

Keep accurate records of daily activities, including unloading, inspections, and maintenance.

Complete documentation of any incidents and corrective actions.

Qualifications

Required

Current and valid C Class Driver’s Licence

First Aid Certificate

CPR Certificate

National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement

Willingness to obtain (if not already held)

Relevant VOCs for machinery operation

Confined Space Certification

Forklift Licence

Working at Heights Training
