In this role, you will oversee warehouse and logistics operations supporting Hitachi Energy’s Service organization. Your work will focus on managing material flow, inventory accuracy, and daily warehouse activities that enable reliable service execution. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating warehouse operations while supporting the development of a new facility and team. The role requires balancing operational efficiency with safety, quality, and compliance, while working closely with service leadership and cross‑functional partners. The challenges you will address include maintaining inventory integrity, supporting business continuity during transitions, improving warehouse processes, and using data and systems to strengthen service operations that contribute to the reliability of the power grid.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Manage daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, storage, picking, packing, and inventory control
Coordinate logistics and inventory activities to support timely delivery of materials to service operations and customers
Partner with service leadership and cross‑functional teams to support warehouse strategy and operational alignment
Guide inventory management practices such as cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain accurate stock levels
Apply warehouse systems and data to monitor performance, study workflows, and improve operational efficiency
Identify and implement warehouse process improvements, including automation opportunities
Maintain a safety‑first culture by partnering with HSE and Quality teams and reinforcing safe work practices
Develop, maintain, and deploy standard operating procedures and work instructions
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Project Management, or a related or equivalent field
5–7 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center management
Experience managing direct teams in a warehouse or operations environment
Background in facility management and/or implementing new warehouse operations is a plus
Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA for inventory or warehouse management, preferably within the EWM module
Knowledge of inventory control practices, including FIFO, stock allocation, stock aging, and cycle counting
Comfortable working in a factory or warehouse environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
Willingness to travel up to 25% to regional sites, as needed
