Responsibilities

Assist in the conceptualization, design, and testing of predictive statistical models and quantitative trading signals
Participate in the review and analysis of the performance of new and existing investment strategies
Support data mining from unconventional or alternative data sources to contribute to the development of innovative trading strategies
Help monitor daily risks, trading systems, and portfolio positions, and contribute to risk assessment processes
Collaborate with portfolio managers, technology, operations, and data teams to implement research findings and support the integration of new models into the investment process

Required Technical Qualification, Skills and Experience

Currently pursuing or recently completed an advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or another quantitative discipline
Solid foundation in probability and statistics, including familiarity with machine learning, time-series analysis, or pattern recognition

Proficiency in Matlab, C#, Python, or SQL

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and conduct rigorous research
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to operate independently as well as part of a team
