About Our Clients

Our client is a specialized e-commerce growth agency that partners exclusively with subscription-based CPG brands across food, beverage, supplements, and health & wellness. They help high-growth brands maximize customer lifetime value through Shopify optimization, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and retention marketing.

They are looking for a Retention Strategist to lead client retention initiatives, develop lifecycle marketing strategies, and drive measurable improvements in customer lifetime value and subscriber retention.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor and point of contact for retention marketing clients.
  • Develop and execute retention strategies focused on increasing customer lifetime value (LTV), improving retention, and reducing churn.
  • Build and optimize customer lifecycle programs, including email and SMS automations, segmentation strategies, and retention flows.
  • Own campaign planning and retention calendars across multiple client accounts.
  • Conduct cohort analyses to identify customer behavior trends, retention opportunities, and growth insights.
  • Analyze performance data and provide actionable recommendations to improve retention outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with Klaviyo Specialists, designers, and copywriters to execute retention initiatives.
  • Lead retention-focused projects and ensure timely, high-quality delivery across client accounts.
  • Stay current on industry trends, subscription commerce best practices, and retention marketing innovations.
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to long-term client satisfaction and retention.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in retention marketing, lifecycle marketing, CRM, or customer retention roles.
  • Strong expertise in Klaviyo, including flows, automations, segmentation, reporting, and lifecycle strategy.
  • Proven experience conducting cohort analysis and using customer data to drive retention decisions.
  • Experience working with e-commerce, DTC, or subscription-based brands.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple accounts or projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with subscription platforms such as ReCharge, Skio, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and subscription commerce models.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to improve efficiency and workflow.
