A Day in the Life In this role, you will lead the global financial strategy for government incentives, shaping high-impact investment decisions and partnering across Finance, Government Affairs, Tax, and Legal to unlock value, manage risk and support enterprise growth. A Day in The Life Of: Lead the global financial strategy for incentives tied to growth, investment, and site-selection decisions Evaluate incentive opportunities using financial modelling, scenario analysis, and risk assessment Deliver clear recommendations to senior leadership on which opportunities to pursue and how to structure them Partner with Government Affairs, Tax, Legal, and regional teams to shape financially sound incentive agreements Integrate incentives into business cases, capital planning, and broader enterprise investment decisions Serve as the Finance lead for governance, ensuring a consistent and disciplined approach across the incentive’s portfolio Oversee accounting, compliance, forecasting, and realization tracking across the full incentive lifecycle Provide visibility into approved, forecasted, and realized value while monitoring commitments and enterprise risk Key Skills & Experience Bachelor’s level 8 degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience MBA or relevant professional qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFA) Experience with government incentives, site-selection, tax incentives, or public-sector funding programs Significant experience in corporate finance, strategic finance, or investment analysis within a global organization Strong command of financial valuation methodologies (NPV, IRR, payback, scenario modelling) Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead decision-making across cross-functional teams Experience structuring complex financial arrangements and managing risk, compliance, and governance requirements Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear business recommendations Medtronic offer a competitive salary and flexible Benefits Package Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
