Our client is a leading provider of high-performance solar energy solutions, energy storage, and smart home integration. They specialize in delivering customized solar PV systems, battery storage, and EV charging solutions to homeowners, businesses, and commercial property owners across Luzon.
Our client wasestablished in February 2017 and has grown into a leading provider of solar energy solutions across Luzon. Their rapidly expanding customer base spans Region 1 to Region 4A, including CAR and NCR.
They specialize in grid-tied, hybrid, and off-grid solar systems, catering to residential, commercial, and industrial clients. To date, they have installed over 10MWp of solar panels and more than 3 megawatt-hours of lithium-ion battery storage, serving over 350 customers. Their largest installation is over 400kWp, showcasing their expertise in delivering high-quality, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions.
The Head of Accounting is responsible for leading and managing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, compliance with accounting standards and Philippine tax regulations, and strong internal controls. This role supervises the accounting team and works closely with management and the CFO/Finance Head.
Oversee all accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Fixed Assets
Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing
Review and approve journal entries, schedules, and account reconciliations
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure accuracy of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow
Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure full compliance with BIR requirements (VAT, Withholding Taxes, Income Tax, Alphalist, etc.)
Prepare and review tax filings and statutory reports
Handle coordination with external auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies
Manage audits and address audit findings
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
Strengthen internal controls and ensure proper documentation
Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Provide accounting and financial insights to management
Coordinate with other departments for financial matters
Support special projects and management requests.
Bachelor’s degree in accountancy
Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience
At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and compliance
Experience handling audits and BIR transactions
Complete familiarity of all the on-going installations and upcoming installations
Accurate forecast of A/R based on installation milestones and completions
Total knowledge of which POs are imperative to meet the needs of upcoming installations
Manage cash-flow to ensure ability to pay and prioritise critical Pos
Knowledge of delivery schedules, importation procedures, agent contact details, etc.
Ability to identify and resolve long standing accounting issues in the books
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PH time (including 1 hour break)
