The Role We are looking for an experienced Data Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of modern, scalable, and secure data solutions across our enterprise. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping our next generation data platform, with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric, data platform modernization, and enterprise data migration from Oracle based systems. You will act as the technical authority for data architecture, ensuring that our solutions meet business needs, follow best practice standards, and support long term growth. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and project leadership to define architectural patterns, guide delivery teams, and ensure that data initiatives are executed to the highest quality. The ideal candidate blends deep technical expertise with strong architectural judgment, an understanding of industry leading cloud data platforms, and the ability to influence cross functional teams. Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership You will support the end-to-end architecture and design of data solutions built on Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory, Pipelines, Notebooks, and RealTime Analytics. Data Platform Modernization You will define and maintain data architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across the organization. You will work closely with engineering teams to guide solution implementation and ensure alignment with architectural principles and business requirements. You will evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools to support continuous improvement of the data platform. You will design and oversee migration strategies for transitioning data ecosystems from Oracle based environments to modern, cloud native Microsoft Fabric architectures. You will develop frameworks for data ingestion, transformation, governance, and orchestration leveraging Microsoft Fabric capabilities. You will ensure that modern data platform components, including lakehouses, semantic layers, and data products, are scalable, secure, and maintainable. Data Integration, Modelling & Quality You will architect and validate conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases. You will define integration patterns and oversee the design of ETL and ELT pipelines to ensure performance, reliability, and reusability. You will collaborate with data governance teams to embed data quality, lineage, and data cataloguing into all solutions. Migration & Delivery Governance You will lead the technical aspects of migration from Oracle databases, data warehouses, and integration tools to Microsoft Fabric. You will oversee data mapping, transformation logic, testing, and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and consistency throughout migration cycles. You will provide architectural oversight across delivery phases, including design reviews, quality checks, and technical risk assessments. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement You will partner with business stakeholders, product owners, enterprise architects, and subject matter experts to translate requirements into scalable data architectures. You will lead technical workshops, architecture discussions, and solution design sessions. You will communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences. Skills Technical Expertise You should have proven experience architecting cloud based data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory or Pipelines, notebook based transformations, and RealTime Analytics. You should have strong hands-on knowledge of Oracle platforms, including Oracle Database, ODI, and Oracle data warehouse structures, and experience leading migration programmers from Oracle to cloud data platforms. You should have advanced understanding of data modelling principles, data warehouse architectures, and enterprise integration patterns. You should have experience designing robust ETL and ELT pipelines that meet performance, scalability, and security requirements. You should have a solid understanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality frameworks, and access control and security best practices. You should have strong SQL skills and familiarity with scripting languages such as Python for orchestration and automation. You should have experience working with modern analytics ecosystems and cloud platforms, with Azure preferred. Interpersonal & Leadership Skills You should have strong communication skills with the ability to simplify and articulate complex technical concepts. You should have the ability to influence architectural decisions and drive alignment across engineering, architecture, and business teams. You should have proven leadership experience in cross functional environments, guiding teams through complex technical challenges. You should have excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. You should have the ability to work effectively in agile delivery environments and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Experience You should have experience designing or modernizing enterprise scale data platforms using Microsoft Fabric in production environments. You should have exposure to data mesh aligned architectures and product oriented data delivery models. You should have familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure as code approaches. You should have experience supporting largescale data transformation initiatives within financial services or similarly regulated environments. You should have relevant certifications in Azure, data engineering, or cloud architecture.
