As an Electrical Engineer (Senior / Staff) – Power Innovation, you will lead the design and optimization of electrical systems supporting critical infrastructure, including pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. You will play a key role in advancing Power Innovation initiatives, integrating emerging technologies, enhancing system reliability, and shaping the future of energy delivery. This is a high-impact role where you will operate with increasing independence while leading complex projects and influencing engineering standards and practices.
Responsibilities / Expectations
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure
Drive Power Innovation initiatives, including the integration of automation, real-time monitoring, energy storage, and advanced control systems
Apply and enhance safety practices, including arc flash mitigation, fault detection, and protection systems
Provide technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system design for both new construction and upgrades
Manage engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and business objectives
Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE)
Analyze system performance and reliability, identifying opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet operational and business needs
Mentor and support the development of engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing
Influence engineering standards, technical strategy, and decision-making (Staff-level expectation)

Education / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology (relevant field) with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Senior Level: 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
Staff Level: 15+ years of progressive engineering experience in natural gas, energy, data centers, or related industries
Preferred: Master’s degree in electrical engineering
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Project management experience
Experience supporting Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC projects
Experience with instrumentation and control system design
Experience with power system modeling and analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink)
Knowledge of high-voltage systems, transformers, generators, switchgear, and grid integration
