You will help manage and support current and future field measurement projects, including stack gas measurements, fence-line and ambient air quality monitoring, meteorological monitoring, and process monitoring, using a broad spectrum of instrumentation and emerging technologies. The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location. •Full-time, permanent role with opportunities for professional growth and advancement Responsibilities: Plan and execute air quality emission measurement and monitoring projects for industrial sector clients in a timely and cost-effective manner Operate, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair air emissions monitoring instrumentation and extractive air sampling systems in the field – e.g., CEMS, FTIR Manage digital data and perform spreadsheet calculations Write proposals, health and safety plans, test plans, and technical reports Travel throughout the U.S. and internationally Apply electrical and mechanical knowledge to field work assignments Participate in a variety of field assignments working with clients from a broad spectrum of industries Deploy for field projects for up to 10 days at a time The position typically travels 50% of a given month Interface with clients, government agencies, and internal stakeholders Qualifications/Education/Memberships: Associate degree in electronics or a related field, or commensurate experience. 0-5 years of experience of previous experience in performance testing and monitoring of industrial sources of regulated air pollutants Electrical and mechanical knowledge Able to travel domestically and internationally by airplane and car, including overnight travel Capable of lifting, moving, and handling heavy objects, including field equipment, up to 50 pounds Able to work, walk, or climb stairs and ladders as well as work at heights Capable of working safely outdoors in a variety of climate conditions Authorized to work in the United States Strong written and verbal communication skills Understanding of chemistry basics Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of software (Excel, Word, etc.), especially Excel Strong written and verbal communication skills Understanding of chemistry basics Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of software (Excel, Word, etc.), especially Excel Possesses a Valid driver's license Preferred Technical Skills and Experience Bachelor of Science degree Three or more years of experience in source testing, with emphasis on instrumental monitoring technologies (e.g., CEMS, FTIR) Experience with EPA test methods and monitoring system performance specifications Safety training (e.g., OSHA, MSHA) Understanding of the consulting business and best practices Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) are at the core of who we are and want to be.
