About the role Railway Operations Expert will provide senior-level expertise in railway operations and transport planning to support feasibility studies, design, and tender preparation. The role focuses on optimizing station layouts, passenger and freight facilities, and multi-modal transport integration, while assessing current and future transport demand, including cross-border and freight traffic. The incumbent will contribute to capacity planning, network improvement, and development of transport models, ensuring efficient and sustainable railway solutions. Key Responsibilities: Analyze existing station conditions, operational requirements, and future demand to develop optimal yard and facility layouts. Prepare conceptual and detailed layout plans covering passenger, freight, maintenance, and container handling facilities. Provide input during finalization of scope of work, phasing of work, preparation of study report, detailed layouts, designs, drawings, specifications, BOQ items & quantity, and tendering services. Conduct transport demand analysis using data collection, surveys, and modeling techniques. Develop and calibrate passenger and freight transport models for scenario analysis and forecasting. Identify network bottlenecks and evaluate options for capacity enhancement and network expansion. About You: Graduation in related discipline. 15 years of professional experience, preferably 10 years’ experience in railway field. 8 years’ experience in similar type feasibility study and design consultancy, including preferably 6 years’ experience as Railway Operations or for similar type consultancy.
