AMD is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Business Operations Coordinator in AI group to be the operational backbone of our team. You will own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, drive seamless purchase order execution, orchestrate team events, and serve as a trusted operations partner across multiple functions. If you thrive in a fast-paced tech environment, love solving problems before they happen, and take pride in making everyone around you more effective — this role was built for you.
Procurement & Purchase Order Management
Initiate, track, and close Purchase Orders (POs) end-to-end - from requisition creation through vendor invoicing and goods receipt
Partner with department leads to gather purchase requirements, validate budget alignment, and route approvals in accordance with AMD's procurement policy
Manage vendor relationships: obtain competitive quotes, negotiate pricing/terms, and maintain an approved vendor database
Ensure PO accuracy and compliance with internal controls; flag and resolve discrepancies with Finance, Accounts Payable, and Sourcing teams
Monitor open POs for delivery status, expedite as needed, and update ERP/procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, or equivalent) in real time
Conduct periodic spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and report trends to leadership
Coordinate with Legal and Finance on vendor contract reviews, NDAs, and MSAs
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to AMD's ethics, sourcing standards, and local regulatory requirements
Team Events & Employee Experience Coordination
Plan, coordinate, and execute team events - including offsites, team-building activities, recognition programs, town halls, and leadership visits - from concept through post-event wrap-up
Manage event budgets, venue sourcing, catering, Audio/video setup, logistics and negotiate vendor contracts to maximize value
Develop and distribute event communications, agendas, and feedback surveys
Partner with HR and leadership to build an inclusive, engaging team culture.
Operational Support & Administration
Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operational needs across the team — space planning, facilities requests, equipment provisioning, shipping, receiving, lab coordination and asset tracking
Manage onboarding logistics for new hires: equipment, system access coordination, desk setup, and Day 1 readiness
Support budget management: track departmental spending, flag variances, and assist in monthly/quarterly budget reconciliation
Maintain and continuously improve operational SOPs, process documentation, and SharePoint/Confluence pages creation and maintenance.
Coordinate cross-functional projects and action-item tracking; drive accountability without direct authority
Manage distribution lists, organizational charts, and team communication channels
Prepare gift letters, visa letters, required supporting documentation, and general administrative outputs
Strong experience in an operations, procurement, office management, or executive support role - preferably in a technology company
Demonstrated experience in creating and managing Purchase Orders within an ERP or procurement platform (SAP, Ariba, or similar)
Strong command of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint); able to build trackers, dashboards, and reports independently
Proven track record of planning and executing corporate events of varying scale
Exceptional organizational skills - you manage multiple competing priorities without dropping a ball
Experience working within a global, matrix semiconductor or high-tech company
Familiarity with Coupa, Ariba, or SAP S/4HANA procurement modules
Exposure to budgeting and financial reporting processes
Experience using AI tools to draft communications, meeting summaries, reports, process documentation, and operational procedures while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
Ability to use AI-assisted solutions to analyze data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights that support business operations and decision-making
Comfortable learning and adapting to new AI technologies as they evolve and integrating them into day-to-day administrative and operational activities
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field
CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent procurement/supply chain certification is a plus
