Application Support / Production Support

We at Coforge are hiring Position (21475) with the following skill set.

Role Summary

We are looking for a candidate who can support production applications, analyze and resolve application issues, manage incidents and work closely with application owners, users and senior stakeholders to improve application stability and performance.

Responsibilities

Work actively with team members to analyze and resolve application issues.

Identify defects, discrepancies and trends through code debugging or log analysis.

Manage incidents and communicate effectively with users, application owners and senior stakeholders.

Improve application stability and performance by identifying patterns, recurring failures and root causes.

Advise application owners on permanent fixes.

Adopt tools developed by the AppBank Engineering team to automate failures using machine learning techniques.

Identify alerts and processes that can be automated, and work with the AppBank Engineering team to automate them.

Challenge existing application setup and processing, suggesting ways to improve stability.

Actively participate in the change management process to manage risk in the production environment.

Build and improve run books to minimize operational errors and improve efficiency.

Develop reports with trending statistics to track and manage application health and support service performance.

Learn and troubleshoot proprietary technologies as needed.

Required Skills

Computer Science concepts, including practical use of data structures.

Problem-solving experience in a development or production environment.

Experience observing patterns, analyzing root causes and suggesting solutions.

Good communication skills to explain technical and functional issues to App Dev teams and senior stakeholders.

Experience with one structured or object-oriented programming language, such as Java, C, C++, VB, .NET, ASP or Angular.

Experience with one scripting language, such as Shell script, Perl, JavaScript or Python.

Experience with one RDBMS environment, such as Sybase ASE/IQ, Oracle or DB2.
