Quality Assurance Tester

We at Coforge are hiring Quality Assurance Tester with the following skill set.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support in drilling and completions area to DWP team.
• Provide an objective assessment of Product Quality.
• Contribute as an active Software Tester on the Team to deliver product stories.
• Develop Test Cases based on Test Objectives and Acceptance Criteria.
• Write comprehensive Test Cases to verify Product functionality.
• Contribute during Sprint Planning to ensure all Testing concerns are discussed and accommodated in the story sizing.
• Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and define key End User Workflows.
• Define, create and maintain Test environments.
• Validate Functionality according to Requirements/Stories.
• Verify Development changes have no undesired effect on other, associated areas of Functionality.
• Identify, communicate and document Bugs in a consistent fashion.
• Track Bugs through resolution and implementation.
• Verify Bugs are resolved according to Bug Definition.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• QA experience (Experience with Oil and Gas Upstream applications preferred).
• Good understanding of upstream applications. (Preferred: EDT Applications).
• Knowledge of one or more of the basic wells engineering concepts including:
• Well construction – drilling techniques, well control, fluids property management, drilling mechanics, performance monitoring
• Well completions – completion designs, well performance analysis
• Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, Wellplan, Compass will be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of Framework creation using any of the Automation tool.
• Experience with SDLC/STLC processes and complete understanding of various testing types viz Smoke, Functional, Integration, Performance, Regression and User Acceptance Testing etc.
• ISTQB foundation level certified (Optional).
• Well versed with Test Case creation, Defect and Test Management tool (Azure DevOps/TFS, JIRA).
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies.
• Excellent Communication Skills.
