WHO WE NEED

We're building the future of accounting and finance software at Rillet, and we need engineers who are hungry to grow and make an impact early. As a fullstack engineer on one of our product teams, you'll own real features from day one, working alongside our CTO, product, and design to build software that finance professionals actually love to use.

We're an AI-native company, and we expect our engineers to bring that same mindset to how they work. If you're energized by using AI to move faster and solve problems differently, you'll fit right in.

We're looking for teammates within commutable distance of our NYC or San Francisco offices (or willing to relocate). Team members work in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible day.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own features end-to-end across the full stack, from backend systems to the interfaces users interact with every day.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and finance experts to shape what we build, not just how we build it.
• Ship high-quality software through continuous delivery, test-driven development, and a strong sense of ownership in production.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping in a product engineering environment
• Pragmatic problem solver who thinks about user impact, not just technical correctness
• Actively incorporates AI tools into your day-to-day workflow, not just as a productivity shortcut but as a way to tackle problems differently
• Hungry to learn, grow fast, and contribute in a collaborative, high-bar engineering environment

BONUS POINTS

• Background in fintech, ERP, or accounting software
• Backend-focused with proficiency in Kotlin, Java, or other JVM languages
• Experience with modern web frameworks and TypeScript
• Familiarity with CI/CD and observability tooling
