Senior Digital Designer

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: December 31, 2026

Work set up: Remote (preference for candidates based in Cape Town for studio collaboration)

We are seeking a Senior Visual Graphic Designer to help shape and elevate the creative direction of a global website. This role calls for a highly skilled, concept-driven designer with a strong, diverse portfolio that demonstrates creative thinking, refined craft, and the ability to produce visually compelling digital assets. The successful candidate will mirror and extend an established creative direction, delivering engaging, high-quality visuals that move beyond a traditional corporate aesthetic. Working within an existing design system and pre-defined components, this role will focus on developing impactful visual solutions, supporting thought leadership content, and contributing to a more dynamic and engaging digital presence.

What you will do

• Translate established creative direction into compelling visual designs for web and digital platforms.
• Create high-quality digital assets that enhance engagement and elevate brand presence.
• Apply strong creative thinking and craft to produce visually striking and conceptually sound work.
• Develop and execute designs within an existing design system and predefined components.
• Leverage understanding of system capabilities and limitations to deliver effective visual solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with broader design and content strategies.
• Art direct and produce website visuals, including imagery, layouts, and supporting graphics.
• Design and artwork thought leadership materials, including downloadable documents and PDFs.
• Build and maintain libraries of web-ready assets for scalable and consistent use.
• Utilize AI tools where appropriate to support asset creation and efficiency.
• Contribute to the evolution of templates and visual approaches in line with brand guidelines.
• Support studio needs with additional design tasks as required.
• Proven experience as a Senior Visual Graphic Designer with a strong, diverse portfolio.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality digital and web-based design work.
• Strong conceptual thinking with a high level of attention to detail and craft.
• Experience working within design systems and structured digital environments.
• Good understanding of digital design principles and visual storytelling for web.
• Familiarity with Figma and component-based design workflows.
• Ability to interpret and extend established creative direction.
• Experience designing thought leadership or editorial-style content is advantageous.
• Exposure to a range of industries, with the ability to adapt across different visual styles.
• Additional strengths in illustration, photography, color, or data visualization are beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a remote or hybrid setup.
